All hail the Washing Up Pod! I am so excited to launch ekologik’s newest product. Our Washing Up Pods are effective, easy-to-use and plastic free!
ekologik Washing Up Pods cut through grease and grime, leaving your dishes sparkling clean. The pods create a powerful foaming solution, resembling the liquid alternatives but completely remove the need for plastic.
The inspiration for the pods came from a problem I faced when camping and out on the road in our van. I couldn’t seem to find a product that could wash dishes as effectively as washing up liquid, without carrying around a large, burdensome, plastic bottle. So I developed ekologik Washing Up Pods, to eliminate plastic and create a product that can be used on the go or at home.
Pods vs Washing-up Liquid
ekologik Washing Up Pods are an alternative to washing-up liquid which is commonly sold in single-use plastic. Instead, our washing up pods which come in a polyvinyl alcohol coating and are packaged in a compostable pouch, eliminating the need to buy single-use plastic.
Why pre-dosed pods are preferable
When using washing up liquid, you are likely to use more liquid than necessary. This is harmful to the environment, as too many concentrated chemicals enter the water system. Also, you waste the product, meaning you will have to buy more, equating to more plastic and greater cost. Pre-dosed pods ensure that you have plenty of bubbles and soapy water to clean all of your dishes, without harming the environment or creating any waste. Ekologik pods contain non toxic ingredients and they are also extremely effective at removing dirt, grime and grease!
Space-savers
ekologik Washing Up Pods are easily transportable, lightweight, small and are therefore a perfect space-saving solution. They are a great sustainable swap for the kitchen and a perfect product for people like me who love the outdoors. A great plastic free addition to motorhomes, caravans, campervans or tents!
