ekologik pods will last as long as you use traditional 500ml cleaning products. However this depends upon how often you clean. You can purchase ekologik products as single refillsor as a saver bundle.
Make sure to rinse the bottle before use and if you are reusing an old 500ml bottle apply to compostable stickers provided.
Our products have been developed with hard and soft water in mind . Our formulations include Citric Acid a chelating agent. These agents bind the metal ions (calcium and magnesium) found in hard water. In turn, the Citric Acid prevents the metal ions from forming soap scum, often found in showers.
We have provided labels in our packs to make it as easy as possible for you to reuse any 500ml plastic bottles that you may have in the house. Alternatively, we think that our labels would look great on glass bottles. Having them in each pack gives you the option.
Each of our labels, like the rest of our packaging, are compostable. So if you don’t need then, you can pop them in your compost or recycling.

Yes, we never test any of our products on animals.
Yes, we are certified by the Vegan Society.
Yes, all ingredients in our plant based pods are 100% biodegradable in a solution. Our products are surrounded in a water soluble film, made of Polyvinyl Alcohol.
Polyvinyl Alcohol is water soluble and once dissolved, is biodegradable. This means that it will breakdown in the environment in the presence of naturally occurring micro-organisms.
We believe that it is also better to have an eco-friendly film around any cleaning products so that the product deposit doesn't go from your hands to your eyes or mouth.
Our products are made in the UK, we also work with UK suppliers.
Our goal for ekologik is to keep things local and limit our carbon footprint.
You may find that our products, once initially dissolved in a solution turn bright in colour. After a few hours, this colour will lighten, to resemble the colours that you see in our product pictures. We recommend storing our products in a cool dry place, away from children.
The below ingredients are not found in ekologik products:
Bleach, Chlorine, Quaternary Ammonium, Parabens, Trilosan, Ammonia, Phthalates, Phosphates, Palm oil.

Think about how many refills we can send out compared to liquid filled containers. Our pods are a fraction of the size of traditional cleaning products. This also makes then a fraction of the carbon footprint compared with a 500ml filled bottle. Also, our products are made in the UK.
We would always encourage you to reuse any old plastic bottles or alternatives that you can get your hands on. We have provided our bottles for life as a first step to becoming more sustainable. These bottles will be for life and our feedback from customers is that glass is not the most practical solution for bathrooms and kitchens, with animals and small children around.
If you would like to use glass bottles, please use our compostable stickers on them so you know which product is which.

Our cardboard packaging is plastic-free and 100% compostable. You can even deposit your boxes and labels on the compost heap. Unfortunately we are yet to find any shipping labels that are compostable. If you know of any please let us know!
All of our safety and ingredient information is on our refill packs.
The warning symbols on our products refer to our products in storage and they are a legal requirement for transporting our products to you. When in a solution these warnings are not applicable.
All of our products conform with relevant UK legislation regarding cleaning products (such as REACH).
